Janice Davis

Lawyer

Specialities: Wills and estates (including adjacent legal services) and estate disputes

With a diverse professional background and strong academic foundation, Janice underwent a seasoned professional transition to a career in law in 2021 and since then has carved out a niche in estate planning, deceased estates and estate disputes.

Before commencing her legal career, Janice worked with the Australian Federal Police and the NSW Department of Communities and Justice. These roles provide her with valuable real-world context and a grounded, client-focused perspective on legal problem-solving.

Together with her Bachelor of Laws from the University of New England, Janice holds a Postgraduate Degree in Psychology from Charles Sturt University and a Bachelor of Justice Administration from Griffith University. Her combined background in law, psychology, and law enforcement underpins her calm, pragmatic manner and her ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with clients.

Janice joined the Penmans team in January 2026 and looks forward to growing her expertise and serving clients in their estate planning matters (together with the related areas of retirement village contracts, granny flat agreements, independent legal advice and similar matters). She also brings her considered, empathetic approach and strong advocacy skills to our dispute resolution team.
