Benjamin King

Paralegal (Wills and Estates and Litigation)

Benjamin joined Penmans in February 2026, bringing experience from a large financial services firm where he worked in litigation and disputes on complex matters. Currently completing a Bachelor of Laws at the University of New England, he combines his academic studies with practical experience and has developed a structured and considered approach to legal work.

At Penmans, Benjamin works within the Wills and Estates team across both estate disputes and estate planning, while also assisting on commercial litigation matters. He supports the team through legal research, drafting estate planning and court documents, and assisting with the preparation and organisation of evidence. Benjamin has a particular strength in working through detailed financial and factual material, assisting to clarify issues and progress matters in a clear and practical way. He approaches his work with a calm and measured manner and understands the importance of balancing legal detail with efficient and client-focused outcomes.

Before transitioning into law, Benjamin held senior roles in sales and customer service within the financial services sector, along with experience in operations management. This background brings a practical and commercially aware perspective to his work, and an understanding of the importance of responsiveness, communication and achieving outcomes that align with client priorities.

Benjamin has quickly become a valued member of the Penmans team, and we look forward to supporting his continued development as he progresses towards admission as a solicitor.
